The Université de Lorraine (UL) is the second largest university in France, with 55,000 students covering all disciplines ranging from material to life sciences with 10 Research Centres. Four Laboratories (Research center OTELo) are actively involved in Geosciences and Environment. Created in 2013, GeoRessources regroups about 180 researchers and is a multidisciplinary laboratory devoted to the field of geological resources – their exploration and exploitation, including recovery, treatment and recycling stages, and their impact on society and the environment. 

Minerals Engineering team has a relevant experience since more than 50 years in ore and wastes processing, being the first research group in France involved in this field since the early 60’s. The “Minerals engineering has a relevant skills and expertise on optimization and modelling of separation processes, process control and instrumentation, participates in the pilot demonstration.
